Last night the Camptown civics club voted to not hold the "Old Home Days" portion of the Camptown races, which means no pies, chicken bbq's, or live entertainment.  However, the running portion of the event WILL BE HELD.

The course is the same as it has been for years, 3.5 miles of roads and approximatley 2.5 miles of trails.  The trail is also the same, which means it is wet, muddy, very poor footing and could be considered treacherous.

Rachel and I have some very cool awards for the overall male and female winners, as well as the master's winner of both genders.  We also have age group and clydsdale awards, as well as team awards.  There is potential for less than 40 runners, so why not give the race a shot and go home with some shwag.

Tee shirts will be old school cotton, and will be a special "Lee flood" edition.

Rachel and I know how much this race means to people, and after 44 years, we just couldn't  let it skip a year.  So if you're up for the challenge, bring a friend and join us for the Camptown Races.
